Why music makes or breaks a fundraising video

Think about the last time you watched a video that genuinely moved you โ€” a charity appeal, a sports highlight reel, or a travel video. Now imagine watching the same video with no music. It would feel completely flat.

Music is not just background noise. It carries the emotion of your video. The right track makes viewers feel the excitement of your expedition, the importance of your cause, or the community spirit of your event. The wrong track โ€” or no track at all โ€” makes even the best footage feel amateur.

The problem is that most popular music is copyright protected. If you use a popular song in your fundraising video and post it on Instagram or TikTok, the platform may mute your video, remove it, or even suspend your account. This is a real risk that many teens do not realise until it happens to them.

Creative Fabrica Studio's AI Music Generator solves this completely. Every track it generates is 100% royalty-free โ€” you own it, you can use it anywhere, and you will never receive a copyright strike.

How to use the AI Music Generator
1
Go to studio.creativefabrica.com and click AI Tools โ†’ Music Generator
2
Choose your mood. This is the most important setting. See the mood guide below for which moods work best for different types of fundraising content.
3
Choose your genre. For fundraising videos, Cinematic, Acoustic, or Ambient tend to work best. Avoid heavy genres like Metal or EDM unless your campaign has a very specific energetic vibe.
4
Set the duration to match your video length. For Instagram Stories and TikTok, 15โ€“30 seconds is ideal. For a longer campaign video, 60โ€“90 seconds works well.
5
Add an optional text description to guide the AI further โ€” for example: "Builds gradually from quiet to triumphant, suitable for an inspiring expedition video".
6
Click Generate. Listen to the result. If it does not feel right, generate again โ€” each result is different. Download the track you like best as an MP3 file.

Mood guide: which music works for which content

Use this guide to choose the right mood for your video:

๐Ÿ”๏ธ
Expedition / trek / adventure videos: Inspiring, Triumphant, Epic. Genre: Cinematic. These tracks build gradually and feel like a film score โ€” perfect for showing your journey and goal.
๐ŸŒ
Volunteering / overseas projects: Emotional, Hopeful, Heartfelt. Genre: Acoustic or Cinematic. These tracks feel warm and genuine โ€” they make viewers care about your cause.
๐ŸŽช
Events and fundraising fairs: Upbeat, Cheerful, Energetic. Genre: Acoustic or Pop. These tracks feel fun and community-spirited โ€” great for event promotion.
๐Ÿ“ฃ
Urgent appeals (nearly at goal, deadline approaching): Urgent, Tense, Building. Genre: Cinematic. These tracks create a sense that something important is happening right now.
๐Ÿ™
Thank you / update videos: Warm, Grateful, Peaceful. Genre: Acoustic or Ambient. These tracks feel sincere and personal โ€” perfect for thanking your donors.
๐ŸŽฏ
Your action: Generate music for your video ad

Generate a music track to add to the video ad you created in Lesson 3. Use the mood guide above to choose the right settings for your campaign type.

Once you have downloaded your track, you can add it to your video in any basic video editor โ€” CapCut (free, on your phone), iMovie (free on iPhone/Mac), or even the built-in Instagram Reels editor.

๐Ÿ“ฑ
Adding music in CapCut (free):
1. Open CapCut and import your video
2. Tap the + at the bottom to add audio
3. Choose Local music and select your downloaded MP3
4. Adjust the volume so the music is noticeable but not overpowering (around 40โ€“60% of the original volume usually works well)
5. Export and save to your camera roll
๐Ÿ’ก
Pro tip: Generate 3โ€“4 different tracks and listen to each one against your video before deciding. Sometimes the first result is perfect; sometimes the third one is the one that gives you goosebumps. Trust your instincts โ€” if a track makes you feel something, it will make your viewers feel something too.
Why is it risky to use popular copyrighted music in your fundraising videos on Instagram or TikTok?
The platforms will charge you a fee for using copyrighted music
The platforms may mute, remove, or restrict your video โ€” and could suspend your account
The music artist can personally sue you for using their song
